Defire offers a SDK for developers to access the open financial system (also known as DeFi). This documentation is designed to help customers integrate with Defire, both by providing the necessary context to understand the blockchain financial instruments, and by giving technical guidance on how to work with the set of tools. We’ve tried to make this documentation user-friendly, but if you have any questions, please email us at [email protected]
Decentralized Finance or "DeFi" refers to a range of decentralized protocols building open financial infrastructure. Most of them are built on top of a blockchain and can be executed without the need of a middleman ensuring that the individuals are the sole custodian of their assets at all times. However, it is worth mentioning that there are different levels of decentralization. For example, some protocols have centralized price feeds or a central administer platform. This is why some people prefer to call it open finance.
Defire allows developers to execute different type of DeFi operations while tracking metrics and transactions over time. With a few lines of code, a developer can borrow a maker loan, lend digital assets to earn interest, trade them on Uniswap or for the best rate and lowest slippage on a DEX aggregator, play the no-loss lottery with PoolTogether, etc.
From a general perspective, Defire provides the necessary developments tools to :
trade any crypto asset without the need of a middleman.
trade on margin opening short or leveraged positions.
deposit funds to continuously earn market best interest.
borrow assets directly using crypto holdings as collateral.
earn rewards by holding funds to support blockchain operations.
forecast events and be rewarded for predicting them correctly.
invest and retain full ownership and control.
